Cost & Value
5 QuestionsCost varies based on project size, foam type, substrate, and access difficulty. Closed-cell foam costs more per board foot than open-cell due to material density and higher R-value. Large commercial projects benefit from economies of scale.
We don't publish flat rates because every building is different — a free site visit lets us give you an accurate, transparent quote with no hidden fees. Call (269) 876-0598 or fill out our contact form to get started.
For Michigan's climate — yes, consistently. Most customers see 25–40% reductions in heating and cooling costs after installation. Michigan's combination of brutal winters and humid summers makes air sealing and vapor control especially critical.
Beyond energy savings, spray foam adds structural rigidity, eliminates moisture infiltration, and lasts the life of the building — no replacement, no settling. Most projects pay for themselves within 3–6 years and keep saving after that.
Spray foam costs more upfront than fiberglass batts. But the comparison shouldn't stop at the installation quote. When you factor in energy savings of 25–40% annually, no replacement cost over the building's life, eliminated moisture remediation costs, extended HVAC equipment lifespan, and structural rigidity benefits — the total cost of ownership over 10–20 years almost always favors spray foam by a significant margin. Fiberglass also doesn't air-seal, which in Michigan's climate is where the real losses happen.
Yes. We offer flexible financing options to help manage the cost of larger commercial and residential projects. Ask us about financing options during your free site visit or when we provide your quote. We'll walk you through what's available for your project size and type.
Potentially yes. Consumers Energy and DTE Energy both offer energy efficiency rebate programs for qualifying commercial and residential improvements. Eligibility depends on your utility provider, project type, and current program availability. We recommend checking directly with your utility provider — and we're happy to provide documentation of the insulation installed to support a rebate application.
Product & Performance
5 QuestionsClosed-cell spray foam, when properly applied, lasts the lifetime of the building — typically 80+ years. Unlike fiberglass batts which settle and compress over time, or blown-in cellulose that can shift and leave gaps, spray foam stays exactly where it's applied permanently.
It doesn't absorb water, doesn't support mold growth, and doesn't lose its R-value over time. It's a one-time installation that performs indefinitely.
Closed-cell foam (R-7.5/inch): Dense, rigid, and moisture-resistant. Acts as both insulation and vapor barrier. Adds structural strength to walls and roofs. Best for Michigan's freeze-thaw climate, moisture-prone areas, and anywhere maximum R-value in limited space is needed.
Open-cell foam (R-4/inch): Softer, more flexible, and less expensive. Expands aggressively to fill large cavities. Excellent for sound dampening and large interior spaces. Requires a separate vapor barrier in some applications.
We'll recommend the right type for your specific project during your free site visit.
We use Accufoam — a professional-grade product not available at hardware stores. Our closed-cell delivers R-7.5 per inch, one of the highest R-values available in the industry. We chose Accufoam for its consistent performance, quality control, and reliability in Michigan's demanding climate conditions.
Yes — with proper precautions. Spray foam requires substrate temperatures above a minimum threshold to cure correctly. In cold weather, we evaluate conditions carefully and use heating equipment when needed to bring surfaces to the right temperature before application.
Michigan winters don't stop us. We've done plenty of cold-weather projects — we just manage the conditions properly to ensure correct cure and performance.
Yes — and this surprises most people. Closed-cell spray foam bonds rigidly to the surfaces it's applied to, increasing wall racking strength by up to 300% when applied correctly. For metal buildings, pole barns, and commercial roofs, this structural benefit is real and measurable — not just a bonus, but often a meaningful factor in the building's long-term durability.
Our Process
4 QuestionsAbsolutely. We provide free site visits and detailed, transparent quotes for all projects throughout Southwest Michigan and Northwest Indiana. There's no obligation — we'll walk your space, explain what we find, and give you a clear quote you can understand. No pressure, no runaround.
Yes. Our professionals are fully licensed, bonded, and insured. We hold SPFA certification — the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance's professional credential, which is the industry's highest standard for spray foam application. This means your project is done right, to code, every time.
Most residential and smaller commercial projects are completed in a single day. Larger commercial facilities — warehouses, industrial buildings, large pole barns — may take one to two days depending on scope. We'll give you a clear timeline in your quote so you can plan accordingly. We respect your schedule and work to minimize disruption.
No. Prep and cleanup are things we take serious pride in. Before we spray, we carefully mask and protect surfaces, equipment, and anything that shouldn't be touched by foam. After the job is done, we clean thoroughly — our customers consistently mention in reviews that they were impressed by how clean we left their property. You'll know we were there by the results, not by any mess left behind.
Safety & Re-entry
4 QuestionsSpray foam is applied using chemicals that require proper handling — no one is allowed in the spray zone without appropriate PPE during application. After spraying is complete, we bring in fresh air and ventilate vapors correctly. Minimum re-entry time is 2 hours after spraying finishes.
We manage this process carefully on every job and communicate the timeline clearly so you know exactly when your facility is safe to re-enter.
The spray zone itself needs to be clear of personnel without PPE during application, and the minimum re-entry time after spraying is 2 hours. However, we work with you to schedule around your business operations — many commercial clients schedule spray work during off-hours, weekends, or between shifts to minimize disruption. We'll plan the project timeline around your needs.
Yes. The products we use meet fire safety ratings and Michigan building code requirements. In some applications, a thermal barrier (such as drywall) is required over spray foam per code — we'll identify this during your site assessment and include it in your quote if needed. We don't cut corners on code compliance.
Once fully cured, spray foam is inert and safe for use around food storage and agricultural environments. It's widely used in cold storage facilities, produce storage, and livestock barns across the industry. During application, the space needs to be cleared as with any commercial project. After proper cure and ventilation, the material is stable and non-toxic.
Warranty & Agreements
3 QuestionsOur standard labor warranty is 2 years. With an annual maintenance agreement, that extends to a 15-year warranty — a significant difference that reflects our commitment to long-term customer relationships.
We offer two service agreements:
Insulation Service Agreement — $200/year: Annual site visit to inspect insulation quality and condition. Extends labor warranty to 15 years.
Roof Coating Maintenance Agreement — $400/year: Annual inspection of roof coating plus light cleanup. Also extends applicable warranty coverage.
Both agreements give you peace of mind and protect your investment long-term.
We stand behind our work. If there's a workmanship issue within the warranty period, contact us directly and we'll come back out to assess and resolve it. We're a family-owned business with a long-term commitment to this community — our reputation depends on every project being right. Call (269) 876-0598 and we'll take care of you.
Roofing
3 QuestionsNo. We restore roofs — we do not replace them. We can restore your commercial roof before full replacement is needed, unless the roof is more than 30% failed. Spray foam roofing systems seal existing leaks, add insulation value, and extend the life of the roof — often at a fraction of the cost of a full replacement.
Spray foam is applied directly over the existing roof substrate, expanding to form a seamless, monolithic surface that covers seams, penetrations, and weak points where leaks occur. A protective elastomeric coating is then applied over the foam to protect it from UV and weather. The result is a roof that insulates and waterproofs simultaneously — with no seams to fail.
Spray foam roofing works on most flat and low-slope commercial roofs including metal, built-up roofing (BUR), modified bitumen, and existing foam roofs. It's commonly applied to warehouses, manufacturing facilities, agricultural buildings, and commercial properties throughout Southwest Michigan. We'll evaluate your specific roof during a free site visit.
